A ballot has been held at Parliament to select the mock bill which will be debated and reported on during the two-day Youth Parliament event being held on 19 and 20 July 2022. This was the first event to take place during the tenure of the 141 young participants of Youth Parliament 2022 who will serve as Youth MPs, the Youth Clerk, and the Youth Press Gallery for the next six months.
The Ministry of Youth Development (MYD) – Te ManatÅ« Whakahiato Taiohi is working in partnership with The Prince’s Trust New Zealand (PTNZ) to figure out what ‘good’ outcomes look like to improve youth entrepreneurship initiatives.

The Budget includes more funding for youth development services, as previously announced by the Minister for Youth on 13 May 2022 – $15 million over four years.
