YDSA in action

The Youth Development Strategy Aotearoa (YDSA) is aimed at being put into action - at the principles being applied by those involved with young people whether they are schools, community organisations or government officials.

YDSA in education - focus groups
A consultation and youth perspective gathering project commissioned by the MYD. The report outlines the findings from research conducted with young people from around Aotearoa  New Zealand on how they see the YDSA being applied in an education context.

Making it happen: strengthening youth development in schools

A booklet that aims at helping boards of trustees, principals and teachers apply the youth development approach within schools more effectively.

YDSA Survey 2004: Knowledge and application by government agencies
In May 2003 and June 2004 the MYD conducted a survey to measure both the MYD's effectiveness in promoting the youth development approach, and changes in government officials’ knowledge and application of the youth development approach.

The results were published in the Youth Development Strategy Aotearoa Survey 2004: Knowledge and application by government agencies.
